Plaza Arturo Prat
Pichilemu - Chile
NOTE: We were in Pichilemu a month before the 8.8 earthquake and the subsequent Tsunami that wiped out part of the city including Plaza Arturo Prat. These photos are from before this event.
This rather large plaza (or square in English) is a little different from most in that it is not a flat ground. It is in fact on the side of a slope so it is in two main levels. The top part that allows you to look towards the beach just a block or so away (check out the distance by the photo below), whereas the bottom part is more decorative with the statue of Arturo Prat whose name is given to the square.
A view of the upper part of the square.
The Plaque above says (in Spanish):
Plaza Arturo Prat Chacon

Arturo Prat Chacon Square
Reconstructed for the first centenary of the area
